The aticle about Slovenian counts of Celje coming from Žovnek – Saneck is German version of the name- has remained incomplete and inaccurate regarding some historical data. Slovenia was not the republic in 1st Yugoslavia, especially because one third of its theritory was under the Italian rule – the reward in Rapallo teraty to the Italians for joining the allies in the Great war. The first Yogoslavia started as the unification of Slovenes, Croatians and Serbs, but in thirties the constitution was almost abolished and the king overtook the rulership. The republic of Slovenia was founded in 1943, during the 2nd world war with the rebellion (supported by all the allies, but really became the republic after the liberation in 1945 (by the way, the last battles in Europe took place on Slovenian theritory till 15th May because German general von Loer would not surrender. The constititon from 1974 gave the constitutional possibility to proclaim independence.
To improve the Counts of Celje history it would have been more than wise to tell more about Barbara, who married Sigismund, and held the reneissance court. She was known as very well educatde woman, inviting also artists to her court.
Besidies, literary Works on Slovenian theritory did not appear only in 19. century. Slovenian also giot the transaltion of the Bible in 1584, among the first nations, by protestanta – the movement was very stron at the time in this region.
