I am the author of Micrurus tamaulipensis, along with Dr. James Dixon. In your page on coral snakes you stated that Micrurus tamaulipensis is from the Sierra Madre Oriental. It is no true. That species is found only at Sierra de Tamaulipas, a different and isolated mountain range in southern Tamaulipas.

Thank you for this valuable feedback, Dr. Lavin. The article has been revised accordingly. I also have added a reference and link to your and Dr. Dixon’s 2004 article on this snake.
