The Comanche were an offshoot of the Shoshone of Arizona?! Please, I stopped reading after this

The Comanche branched off the Shoshone of Wyoming. The Shoshone were a Great Basin Nation.

Like the previous commentor, I stopped reading after that sentence. New World used to be a reliable encyclopedia.

Thank you for your comment. It is unfortunate that you stopped reading the article after a single sentence!

Perhaps it is confusing to refer to pre-history in the first sentence, when the more recent history of the Comanche (after 1700) is more widely known. The first paragraph will be edited to avoid such confusion.

The link in the boys coming of age section, going on a hunt “buffalo” links, mistakenly, to “Water buffalo” rather than bison … though an earlier link correctly links to Bison.
