You have written, “In the Homer’s Aeneid, Queen Dido, Virgil’s name for the Queen Elissar of Greek legend, is first introduced as an extremely respected character.”

Virgil wrote the Aeneid.

The wording in this section is oddly vague and poorly worded. What does it mean, for example, that Dido “is introduced as an extremely respected character”? Words like “extremely” and “adore” give this section a less-than-objective feel compared to the surrounding sections and make me less likely to use this page as a source during research.

Thank you, Heidi, for your comment. You are quite correct that the statement is poorly worded, and the inclusion of Homer is inexplicable! It appears that the copyeditor was over zealous in this section. The article will be revised to correct the problems you pointed out. Thank you again for helping to make NWE a valuable informational resource.
