I suggest that you remove the paragraph on the Palestinian contribution as it is incorrect. See the following: http://www.battleofbritainmemorial.org/no-there-was-not-a-palestinian-in-the-battle-of-britain/. George Ernest Goodman was born in Haifa to a father who was an expatriate British civil servant. His mother, although born locally in Zichron Yaacov, was not considered Palestinian by the Turkish authorities. She converted first to Islam and then to Christianity before George was born. George was sent to a British Public school in his teens and from there joined the RAF in 1939. His parents, in the meantime, moved to Nigeria in early 1939. They returned to Britain in the 1950s. The RAF Roll of Honour has been corrected and now states that George was British.

Thank you, Mark, for your feedback. The article will be revised to reflect that correction in Goodman’s nationality. Thank you again for taking the time to comment and help make NWE a valuable information resource.
